Neumonil Syrup (Glyceryl Guaiacolate)

Formula:
Each teaspoon (5mL) contains:
Glyceryl Guaiacolate: 100mg
Phenylephrine hydrochloride: 5mg
Vehicle: q.s.

Properties: Neumonil® NF Syrup decreases the thickness of mucus and makes easier the expectoration. This way, cough disappears. It also produces nasal decongestion and improves ventilation in respiratory tract in colds.

Indications for use: Improves sputum and nasal congestion in the states of flu.

Dosage:
Adults and adolescents: 2 teaspoons every 4 hours.
Children from 6 to 12 years old: 1 teaspoon every 4 hours.
Children from 2 to 6 years old: ½ teaspoon every 4 hours.
Children under 2 years old: only for medical prescription.

Cautions: Do not exceed the recommended dose; if symptoms do not improve within 7 days, worsen, or a fever or other symptoms appear, consult your doctor. Increase fluid intake to facilitate expectoration. Pregnancy and lactation. Diabetes and prostatitis. In case of overdosage consult your doctor. Use under medical supervision in hypertension, heart disease, thyroid disease, liver or kidney damage. Do not administer in conjunction with other products containing these active ingredients.

Adverse Effects: Diarrhea, head ache, nausea or vomiting, hypertension, tachycardia, hyperglycemia.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula.
