Immediately he started to work on the dream of his life; to establish a pharmaceutical laboratory at his homeland committed to promote good health and good quality of life, providing effective drugs at affordable prices to the medical and pharmaceutical guild. Thus, on January 15, 1938 Laboratorios Laprin came to live, emerging as a pioneer on the pharmaceutical industry in Central America. Everything started in the attic of the family home. After a year of operations, it was moved to more suitable facilities located in the historical center of the city. With confidence in its products by physicians and pharmacists, as well as for patients growth was accelerated and Laprin is moved once again in 1949 to larger facilities with more modern equipment which allowed and increase in the volume and number of products manufactured.

During the 70s, Laprin began to foray into the field of cosmetology, manufacturing and distributing well known brands such as Juvit-E and Baby Chic.

Following the rapid development, Laboratorios Laprin opened its current facilities in 1989, located at Km 16.5 Carretera a El Salvador, in Fraijanes, Guatemala. Five years later it makes a gigantic step forward, installing in 1994, the first national laboratory qualified for the production of beta lactam penicillin.

Laboratorios Laprin has evolved over time, responding to the new challenges of the pharmaceutical industry and has adapteding to the changes in the globalization process. During this process, Laprin has always kept an honorable record which is now a cause of pride and inspiration. We have become a company that values excellence, integrity and respect towards people.
