Sultam Granules for Oral Suspension

Active Ingredients:
Sultam capsules:
Each capsule contains:
Sultamicillin (Tosylate) equivalent to 375 mg

Sultam Oral Suspension
Each teaspoon (5mL) of reconstituted suspension contains:
Sultamicillin (Tosylate) equivalent to 250mg base

Indications for use: Sultamicillin is indicated for the treatment of infections where beta-lactamase-producing microorganisms may be present as uncomplicated gonorrhea, otitis media, respiratory tract infections and urinary tract infections.

Dosage: When given orally the usual dose for adults is 375mg to 750mg twice daily, for uncomplicated gonorrhea can be given a single dose of 2.25g of sultamicillin combined with 1g of probenecid.

The usual dose for children weighing less than 30kg is 25-50mg/kg daily divided into two doses.

Action: Antibacterial
