Formula:
Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 10mg
Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg
Glyceryl Guaiacolate 100mg
Vehicle: q.s.

Properties: Lapricol ® NF contains in its composition three assets which are cough suppressant, and decongestant mucokinetic, which facilitates expectoration in bronchopulmonary process.

Indications for use: Symptomatic relief of nonproductive cough and nasal congestion due to flu, colds or minor irritation of the throat and bronchi.

Dosage:
Adults: 2 teaspoons 4 times per day.
Children over 4 years old: 1 teaspoon 4 times per day.
Children from 2 to 4 years old: ½ teaspoon 4 times per day
Children under 2 years old: according to medical indications

Cautions and Warnings: Avoid sedatives simultaneously. Hypertensive patients for any reason, must be under medical supervision, breastfeeding. This medication should not be administered to patients at risk for developing respiratory failure.

Medicine Interactions: It has been pointed that the interaction between Dextromethorphan and Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) could be adverse.

Adverse effects: Dextromethorphan adverse effects appear to be uncommon and may include dizziness and gastrointestinal disturbances. Sometimes nausea and vomiting have been reported with glyceryl guaiacolate, especially in large doses.
IMPORTANT: Do not be administering to patients at risk for failure should be administered during an acute attack.

Contraindications: Respiratory failure, asthmatic cough.
