Corporate Social Responsibility

At Laboratorios Laprin we feel a strong commitment with our employees and our community. This brings us to constantly design strategies that allow us to work towards the development of the communities where we operate.

Laboratorios Laprin practices its CSR through initiatives such as:

Laprin Verde (Laprin Green)

We believe in the importance of business participation in environmental conservation. That is the reason why we have developed several initiatives whose purposes are geared towards preserving environmental resources and increase awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.

The focus areas of our campaign have been: paper recycling and better usage of resources such as energy and water.

Work Incorporation Program

With this initiative, the company has created jobs for people with physical disabilities as well as hearing impairments. This program enables workers to earn a living by working in areas where they can develop their skills, while developing of a career plan at the company.

Ayúdalos a Sonreir

In 2007 Laprin launched a campaign to benefit Fundanier, whose purpose is to help children with chronic kidney diseases. This campaign, which translated to spanish means “Help them smile”, consisted of Laprin donating a percentage of the sale of a specific product towards this association.

Banco de Alimentos (Food Bank)

This program started in 2009 with the purpose of giving assorted bags of nonperishable goods to different parts of the interior of Guatemala and thus help poor people cope with the food crisis in the country. This program is carried out thanks to the support and solidarity of the company and its employees.
